What is a Blog?
A blog is a personal online journal created generally for sharing and discussion of opinion. While the administrators of this site maintain the right, HallowFreaks rarely censors it's members and takes no responsibility for it's member postings.

What is a Blog Roll?
A blog roll is a listing of chosen member blogs you have favorited for easy referrence. Currently, only Member Blogs with be added automatically to your blog roll. Favorite blogs of other sites must be manually added to your Blog Roll. Be sure to enter the full uRL, including HTTP://

How do I add an image to my blog?
Once inside the blog editor system, click the small image icon on the blog editor tool bar. An image upload window will pop up. Browse, choose and upload your image. Once uploaded, you can drag and drop the image from the preview box into the text editing box and continue constructing your blog post.

How much space am I alloted for my blog?
Each member has 10 MBs space for their blog. Once this space limit has been reached, you will want to create more space by deleting some information. Since image files take up more server space, we recommend removing old images from archive files first.

How do I upload images and manage them?
Once in your blog member area, look on the right for the Your Blog heading and click the Manage Images link. A pop up window will allow you to browse your computer for images to upload.

To add an image to your blog, you'll click the small image icon available in the compose box along with the other editing options. It will let you choose an image from your blog gallery.

What is a Blog Logo?
A Blog Logo is an automatically inserted image, one you choose. This can be a title graphic or something you feel represents your blog. If you do not upload an image, none will show.

Your Logo image size requirements are as follows: NO more than 600 pixels wide x 200 pixels high. You must follow these image requirements to be able to load a logo image.

What is the Calendar for and how do I edit it?
The calendar is an automatic feature that updates every time you add or delete a blog entry and is not manually editable. It posts links for every blog entry to allow for easier archived blog access.

How do I place my blog in a category?
From your blog management page, look on the left for the Manage your Blog heading and click the Blog Settings link. Once clicked, you'll have the ability to edit your blog's information.

Can I customize the look of my blog?
Yes you can. There are two ways to do this:
  • You can chose a pre-designed template found on the Blog Settings page.
  • You can individually alter the look of each post. The most effective way to do this is to have a basic knowledge of HTML. You will want to use the bottom far right toggle button the has this "<>" on it. This will allow you to add HTML code. Blog editor will not accept CSS or javascripting, just basic HTML. My blog edit text box is not showing... what gives?
At times when the text edit box is not loading, simply hit "Refresh" on your broswer toolbar. This should solve the issue.

I left a comment on a blog that I would like to edit or delete. How do I do that?
Users cannot edit comments that they have posted in the Blog section of this site. You may want to consider writing the author of the article or the member you've posted comments to and politely ask for the removal of posted comment. You can also contact Scrappy Kat and ask her to remove it. Be sure to include the name of the blog link where you left the comment and your username.

What are Blog Keywords and why do I need them?
Blog Keywords are words that people may use while searching to find your blog. They help to describe your blog content and are quite important for exposure reasons. You should only use keywords that are relative to your blog.

What are RSS feeds?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, which simply means that you can get updates of important information easier! By clicking the link that says "Add to RSS feed" and you will be able to receive updates on your RSS feed channel for easy retrieval.
