Steps:
1. Pick a pattern/design to construct along with a "background" or bottom piece used to attach pieces to.
2. Draw your patterns onto cardstock and cut with scissors or exacto knife. *If you are not an artist, use coloring book pages for patterns and glue onto cardstock and cut out.
3. Using a fabric pencil, trace patterns onto felt backwards. Cut felt and arrange. *If you are using fusion to construct, iron fusion to felt. Do not remove backing. Trace the patterns using a pencil onto the fusion backing, then cut felt and arrange.
4. Once felt is arranged, attach pieces to background piece using desired technique.
5. Sew flat accents onto project front at this time. *Accents for your project below.
6. Finish construction by placing right sides together and attaching sides, leaving one side open for stuffing.
7. Stuff and close remaining side.
Hints:
Use pinking shears for edge accents. *I recommend Fiskars scissors.
Use fabric paint, buttons and beads for accents.
Use various simple sewing lines and threads to make subtle or BOLD accents. *Use Monofilament thread for a subtle accent.
